The program is organized according to these general program topics:
1. Economics and Assessment - Presentations within this NEW track will address timely topics related to today’s economic situation including funding assessor operations on fees, revenue models adjustments for declining markets, property tax caps - pros and cons, and the long term affects of foreclosures on market value.
2. Professional Development & Management Strategies - This track is designed for individuals involved with managing GIS and/or assessor offices, as well as those trying to increase their core knowledge. From hiring and retaining employees, to strategizing on how to best manage your GIS and CAMA environments, to seeing what other counties are doing, this track will provide a wealth of insight on how to get the most out of your people and your technology.
3. Property Valuation & Modeling Techniques - CAMA modeling has come a long way. What are the methods and results of mathematical models used in the appraisal of property? The presentations in this track focus on the use of location in models, visual display of results with GIS, advanced modeling techniques, 3-D visualization and other related topics.
4. Technologies & Techniques - Stay ahead of the curve and get the most return on the GIS investment. Take a look at the road to Enterprise GIS, best practices, new and emerging technologies, the latest in Web development, mitigating technological changes, LiDAR visualization, viewpoints on the Cadastral Fabric, and more.

The Workshop will bring together researchers, scholars, students, professionals, vendors, users, managers and decision makers to present, exhibit and discuss the issues and latest trends in the Maintenance, Updating and Services of core spatial data bases.
Credible classification of remotely sensed data is currently one of the most challenging facets of geo-information sciences. The significant advance we have been witnessing in remotely sensed data quality and the similar progress we are seeing in computing power enable us today to simultaneously study a large number of spatial phenomena. Rapid increase in available data sources (more satellites, new airborne sensor systems, advanced ground scanners and in situ observations) and the multi-source complex data they generate calls for the automatization of image understanding processes. Automatization becomes fundamental to ensure spatial data bases remain relevant and responsive to modern processing and product requirements. From location definition, phenomenon description and decision making, spatially structured and textured data serve as the source for intelligent, timely and effective answers.
Each of the six contributing ISPRS Working Groups will organize special sessions that will complement our jointly organized theme sessions. Also offered during the Workshop are technical and social events and "Holy Land" tours after the Workshop

Virtuelle 3D Stadt- und Landschaftsmodelle sind weiter hochaktuell. Google Earth, Microsofts Virtual Earth u. a. haben neuen Schwung in die gesamte Geo- und 3D-Branche gebracht. Das Achte Internationale 3D-Forum Lindau wird sich neben dieser Thematik weiteren hochaktuellen Themen aus den Bereichen 3D Modelle und 3D-GIS sowie der Radarmesstechnik annehmen. Neben wissenschaftlichen und technologischen Trends werden wieder Vorträge aus der Praxis und deren Nutzen Schwerpunkt der Veranstaltung sein. Dies wird durch die bewährte Zusammensetzung der Referenten aus Wissenschaft, Verwaltung und der Wirtschaft gewährleistet.
